Ian is the band’s “utility player,” handling tenor
banjo, mandolin, button accordion, tin whistle,
Bodhran and vocals. Ian not only has a fantastic
ear and a beautiful voice, but an incredible
memory for tunes. Former bands include
Hammers and Tongues, Nonesuch and
Blackberry Jam. Ian’s Celtic roots are from
Scotland.

Malia’s first instrument was a soprano ukulele
at about age six, and then came piano, guitar
and mountain dulcimer. While attending college
in Wisconsin , she continued her piano studies
and started playing bluegrass. During that time
she also turned more to composing, playing and
performing original tunes in various duos and
combos. She’s continued composing, including
contemporary waltzes, jigs and reels. Malia is
both Scottish and Irish.

Susan has a Bachelors and Masters of music
from OCU and plays tin whistle, flute, Bodhran,
and sings. Susan has a love for all types of
music and stepped into the Celtic scene a few
years ago with Banish Misfortune before joining
the Suspicious crew. Susan also plays with the
Larry Pierce Combo, her husbands group that is
very active in the Oklahoma City area.
Susan's Celtic roots are Scottish and Welsh.

Wayne is also known as “The Flyin’ Fiddler,”
and anyone who has heard him play knows why.
In addition to fiddle, he plays 5 and 4 string
banjo, mandolin, mountain dulcimer and guitar.
In addition to playing Celtic tunes, singing and
composing, Wayne has also dedicated himself
to the preservation of American “Old Time”
music, generously passing the tradition on to
others. Past bands include Reflections, Prairie
Land String Band, Scatter the Mud and Calliope
House. Wayne ’s Celtic roots are Irish.
